Open ice for Ice Hockey Players of any age or level. Must have at least helmet and gloves to participate.
Hockey starts with learning skating fundamentals: forward and backward skating, stops, turns and crossovers. Our Learn To Skate classes are offered year round for ages three through adult.
Players learn hockey fundamentals to prepare them for game play: skating skills, stick handling, passing and shooting. Game fundamentals and rules are introduced. Learn To Play classes are offered year round for youth and teen players.
The Pineville Youth Hockey League (PYHL) is a recreational hockey league for youth players through age 16. All age levels are non-checking. Practices and League games are held at the Pineville Ice House. Our Youth League runs year round as Fall, Spring and Summer seasons. Each season is a new enrollment event.
Since 2011, the Pineville Falcons have been fielding youth travel teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U levels in the Carolinas Hockey League (CHL). Our program is sanctioned by USA Hockey and the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). The travel season runs primarily from September through February, though some practices, camps and events occur in the off season.
The Pineville Ice House and Pineville Falcons have partnered with Carolina Premier Hockey to expand our youth hockey opportunities. Our Youth Hockey career path now includes:
Camps and clinics are offered primarily in the Spring and Summer and over holidays. Falcons clinics are geared toward intermediate to advanced players. Our Summer Cool camp provides a weekly day camp that includes hockey instruction for beginner to intermediate players. Stick & Puck sessions provide practice ice for players of all levels.
